Born in London, I won art prizes at school and went on to study illustration at art college in England. After obtaining my degree I travelled around Europe and spent some years on the Greek island of Corfu earning a living painting local scenes and as a portrait sketch artist in the island’s top hotels.

On returning to England I taught myself signwriting, started my own business and within a few years I became known for my pictorial work. This eventually developed into a reputation for painting murals. I did quite a bit of fairground painting eg Ghost Trains and amusement rides as well as murals in houses and gardens during this time.

In 2000 I moved to Sydney where life as a full-time artist began with a series of art calendars recording the areas around where I lived. I also produced greetings cards, postcards and taught drawing, life drawing and oil painting.

Now back in England, having been away for so long, I now see it with fresh eyes. There is a thriving art scene here in Devon which I am gradually becoming involved in.
